Tiger Shroff Firing Case: Who Are the Gangsters Targeting Celebrities?
From Anil Pandit to Himanshu Bhau and Goldy Brar, explore the gangsters linked to celebrity threats, firing incidents and extortion cases involving Bollywood stars and popular personalities across India.
The firing incident involving Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff in Mumbai has brought renewed attention to criminal networks allegedly targeting celebrities across India. An individual identifying himself as Anil Pandit reportedly claimed responsibility for the attack and warned members of the film industry against associating with Salman Khan.
However, the incident is part of a wider pattern of threats, extortion demands and shootings involving Bollywood actors, singers and digital personalities. Several alleged gangsters with links to Haryana and neighbouring states have figured in these investigations.
Here's a closer look at the individuals and the cases that have brought them under scrutiny.
Anil Pandit: The name behind the Tiger Shroff firing claim
Anil Pandit, reportedly from Panipat in Haryana, is believed to be associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. According to media reports, he operates from the United States and has links with other alleged gang operatives, including Harry Boxer.
Following the firing incident involving Tiger Shroff, an audio message attributed to Pandit claimed responsibility and warned the entertainment industry against working with Salman Khan.
Investigators are examining the authenticity of the claim and the possible involvement of individuals associated with the alleged network.
Himanshu Bhau: The gangster linked to the Elvish Yadav case
Himanshu Bhau, a gangster from Haryana's Rohtak district, has been linked by investigators to criminal activities extending across northern India. In August 2025, gunmen opened fire outside YouTuber Elvish Yadav's Gurugram residence. The Himanshu Bhau gang subsequently claimed responsibility, citing objections to Yadav's promotion of certain betting applications.
The incident highlighted how digital celebrities and their commercial associations can also become targets of alleged criminal intimidation.
Rohit Godara: The alleged network behind attacks on celebrities
Rohit Godara, who hails from Rajasthan, has been associated in police reporting with the wider criminal network involving Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar. In September 2025, gunmen opened fire outside actor Disha Patani's family's residence in Bareilly. Godara and Goldy Brar subsequently claimed responsibility, referring to alleged remarks by Patani's sister about religious leaders.
Investigators examined the suspected shooters' links with the alleged network. The case also raised concerns about threats extending beyond celebrities to their families.
Goldy Brar: The gangster linked to the Salman Khan case
Goldy Brar, whose real name is Satinderjit Singh Brar, is a prominent figure in investigations into organised crime in northern India. His name emerged prominently following the 2022 murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala. Investigators alleged that Brar played a role in the conspiracy behind the killing.
Brar has also been linked in police reporting to the wider network associated with Lawrence Bishnoi. He and Godara claimed responsibility for the firing outside Disha Patani's family's residence in 2025.
Harry Boxer: The alleged overseas handler
Hari Chand Jaat, known as Harry Boxer, has been identified in media reports as an alleged associate of the Lawrence Bishnoi network. Reportedly operating from the United States, Boxer has been linked to Anil Pandit. Investigators suspect that overseas handlers may coordinate with local associates to facilitate criminal activities in India.
His alleged connections are relevant to the Tiger Shroff investigation, although his precise role remains to be established through evidence.
Deepak Nandal: Alleged extortion demands against singers
Deepak Nandal, a Haryana-based figure reportedly operating from abroad, has been linked in media reports to extortion-related cases involving regional singers. His alleged network has reportedly targeted Haryanvi and Sufi music artists, including Rahul Fazilpuria and Bismil.
These cases highlight how criminal intimidation extends beyond Bollywood to regional performers who may face demands for large sums of money.
